No drama, perfect function

UGREEN is back, I still really like UGREEN's products. This gigabit USB3 adapter worked right out of the box, with ZERO settings. 1) connected to the PC 2) connected the ethernet cable. 3) surf the web and browse LAN shares NO PROBLEM. that all drivers were native windows certified by WHQL and nothing needed to be installed. The unit was slightly warm (if it was coffee it wouldn't be warm enough). ------ technical nonsense TL DR; The chipset in the device offers the sophisticated functions that you expect from a modern internet adapter. Checksum Offload, Large Send Offload, Large Packets, Priority & VLAN, Power Saving, Automatic Cable Length Detection, Wake On Network, Wake On Link Pattern, Wake On Magic Packet, ARP Offload, NS Offload. (I haven't tested any of this, I just note that the chipset offers it and the Windows 10 drivers support it). There is a minidisc with drivers for Windows versions < 10 including Mac and Linux. The manufacturer's website has been very open about certification and compliance, even providing gerberas and schematics for embedded applications wanting to use the chipset.
