Ugly old toilets in a house from the early 1960's. Tried everything to clean them. I don't shy away from costs and risks to my health. Finally replaced the upstairs toilet. Hooray, beautiful white toilet! Purified religiously. But then the ugly ring showed up anyway. I tried everything again to get rid of it. Nothing taken. The downstairs toilet is so dirty it's embarrassing. But I tried everything again. I gave up and have a backup plan. But I know that ring will appear on the new one. So I decided to do the research again. I want toilets without rings. This stone has appeared. I've seen this before but didn't believe something so cheap could work. But then when I saw it again, I remembered the time Magic Eraser came out and I didn't believe it. Until I gave up and bought one on a friend's recommendation. Surprisingly, this little white sponge worked. I even got on all fours with this magic eraser, cleaned my dirty old linoleum and made it white again! That's why I decided not to neglect this point anymore and to try it too. I'm glad I did. It took me less than 5 minutes to get the ring out of the new toilet. The old toilet was different, but with a little sweat, sore fingers and half a stick, I later cleaned the thing of rust spots and even smoothed out the weird gray cast where the water is. I'm so pissed that I didn't try it years ago when I first saw it. Now I can wait a little longer with the cost of a new toilet. I like it! By the way, I read some dissatisfied reviews that it's all dusty because of the bad packaging. Mine came with a shrink plastic cap on a stone in an outer cardboard box. Some also say they don't last long. I was also surprised to see how quickly it turned into half a stick, but I had an old toilet bowl with serious stains. But now that I've removed all the really bad spots, I think a stick will last a while if I just remove the rings. I would recommend this item to everyone.
