I've been using the Berkey filter for several years now and wanted to try something more alkaline so I decided to give this filter system a try. First, the installation was ridiculously easy, literally a minute or two and everything was fine. I ran the water through, or for a few minutes at a time, and then did a side-by-side taste test with Berkey. We couldn't tell any difference in taste between my wife and I at room temperature or cold, so take what you will. Generally these filters cost a little more to replace than the Berkey, but in my opinion it's definitely worth saving yourself the hassle of having to refill the Berkey every night. It's a great filter system and I'm sticking with it. As an added bonus, it is very aesthetic and takes up much less counter space.
