We bought this piggy bank as a dim light option for night time feedings and diaper changes after reading other reviews (which told us it was worth paying a little more for) . It was a smart purchase to save our retinas from the burning discomfort of turning on the lamp. It's small and portable (no cords or plugs!) and light enough. and to be perfectly honest, if you're buying this to help with nighttime feedings, this thing even looks like boobs! Designed to aid in the reception of a newborn in the early hours of the morning. The light level is adjustable from low to bright and stays at the last light level you set the last time you used it. You'll have to play around with it a bit to figure out how to adjust the light level (press and hold to make it brighter, press and hold to make it brighter). It's lightweight and has a handy little plastic part that lets you stand it upright, hang it on the wall, or just lay it on your back. As I grab it in the dark, our life lies on the back, in our bed with us! (If you're a mom who breastfeeds at night, try laying on your side! It's so comfortable, gives you room for another grip, ahhh, this light moves easily from side to side with you. Dad changes the light (wink, wink)) . No cords or wires to untangle when you move it. This was a great decision for us. Oh yes, it's a battery!
