I bought this with a SanDisk Extreme III 2GB SD card. When the card is properly seated in this reader, the performance is very high. The difficulty is to put the card in its place. The only card I'm having problems with is the SanDisk Extreme, so you might be tempted to say it's a card problem, but this card works very well on every other device I have (Camera, Palm and Wolverine). I will contact SanDisk for service but given the price I'm not sure if any shipping changes needed would be worth it. I'll update the SanDisk answer. Here's an update: When I received this reader I was very excited. No drivers required, very fast data transfer etc. What's not to like? Then came my new SanDisk card. I have a faster card to support burst capture on my camera. This reader will read this new card only occasionally. SanDisk's website doesn't state that cards are only read up to a certain speed. I was expecting to use this with my new card. I contacted SanDisk support. Here is their answer: The Extreme III card is not supported by your reader. You must use other readers that you have tested your card in, or if the card is less than 30 days old, you can take it to your point of sale for a replacement or refund if you have been told they work for the reader would be questionable. Any other questions, please feel free to email us again. Sincerely, Najeer B.SanDisk Technical Support. I would change my rating to a star or two at this point, but unless I delete this entry Revain doesn't seem to let me change it.
