These are my third pair of BackBeat Fit headphones so I'm fully aware that they are NOT designed for noise cancellation. The BackBeat Fit is designed to let in ambient noise so you can hear beeps, tones, etc. when you need to hear your surroundings while running, cycling, etc. First off, these headphones do a great job with this feature! Music and podcasts play clearly and loud enough to let in the ambient noise needed for safety. Battery life is great, and when combined with the charging case, you'll get plenty of hours (maybe a day or more?) of listening time. However, I can attest that the microphone is not as good as others have mentioned. I bought them anyway, knowing that this is most likely the case as receiving/calling is not the main function for me on them. My main need is to listen to music/podcasts on my e-bike where I also need to hear the world around me. They are great at that. However, when I get a call and have to answer it with these headphones, people say I sound like I'm in a tunnel or I hear an echo. So for these reasons I don't use them specifically for calls. But if you NEED to take a call while wearing them, they don't work - they just don't sound good. sound clear and professional. For those of us who've got the e-bike bug and are stuck in traffic every now and then, these are the best headphones!
