perfect! I have bought both regular and petite shorts. I'm 5'3" and skinny shorts fit me better. I kept the regular shorts for myself as I bought them first and needed them immediately. about a half inch shorter than regular shorts and not as loose on me. The shorts are good quality and wash well (I hung them out to dry), they held up well in sea water and were good enough for shopping etc. The wide waistband and briefs are comfortable are perfect for beach walks and water sports, I highly recommend them.
