Deceptively spacious - perfect for photo equipment

First I should mention that I bought this case specifically for photo equipment. I am a wedding photographer and photographer and need to transport my gear to/from locations and I need something that is more durable and easier to manage. My goal was to pack my more expensive items into this case while also using my backpack for (mobile) outdoor shooting. When I unpacked the suitcase for the first time, I thought I would have to buy a bigger one. I was pleasantly surprised at how much gear I was able to fit in after spending the morning carefully chipping off pre-cut foam. Keep this in mind. You need to sit for several hours and carefully form the foam. I found it quite enjoyable, although I saw Manchester United lose (again) in the process. Just take your time and try to leave about 2 layers of foam between heavier items. For reference, before you start breaking out unnecessary parts, inspect the styrofoam mesh! In the middle, in the horizontal and vertical directions, there is a seam that is slightly wider than the squares cut earlier. It's hard to explain, but you'll notice it if you look closely. I would advise you to leave these 2 seams intact as they add a little more rigidity to the foam. Arca Swiss plate plus CustomSLR C-Loop below) - Canon 6D body (with eyepiece extension and CustomSLR C-Loop below) - 24-70mm 2.8L lens with lens hood attached - 135mm 2.0L lens with lens hood attached - 16-35mm f/2.8 L *without lens hood* or 35mm f/1.4L lens - 3 Canon Speedlites (more on that below)*** - some slots expanded for smaller items (16 AA batteries), 1D backup battery, 6D backup battery, 6D -Charger, 3 Speedlite shoes, 8 SD card holders. And I'll throw that in my backpack.*** Note the speedlite: I have 600EX flashes. This case is about 1/4" too small to fit vertically If you could there would be more room as I have 2 flashes stacked on top of each other and put the 3rd in the slot where the head is tilted 90 degrees souls. If you have 580EX (or anything else) check the length, if they are at least 1/4" shorter when head is pointing straight up then this case can hold a bit more gear. After reading a bit about purchasing this particular one After thinking about the body I'll probably buy a second one so I have room for the rest of my photo gear (mounts, extra card holders, 70-200 f2.8L IS lens, body charger) 1D series (which is large), AA- chargers etc) I will not ask about the durability of a Pelican case I have 2 others that I have used for many years that are as close to indestructible as possible This is a very safe purchase that will last a very long time. Remember that d These suitcases will retain their value if you decide to sell them in a year or three. I will take a photo of my layout as soon as possible and upload it here.
