Tie Mags Hex Silver Magnetic Review

I bought this for my elderly uncle for his diamond wedding anniversary thinking it would make a good gift but unfortunately the magnet is so strong I'm returning it had to. I removed the clip from the magnet to look at it, I had it in the palm of my hand and the magnet literally jumped off the table onto the outside of my arm so my arm was meat in a magnet sandwich. I'm sure this is just a tie pin for those who have strong and dexterous hands.

Advantages It is very secure and not easy to fall off. Won't pierce a tie like a pin and isn't as obtrusive as a necklace. The decoration piece was tasteful and sophisticated since I chose the round hexagonal version. Cons: The back is REALLY thick. My shirts are thin and sometimes I felt the lining. Not bad, but I noticed it. The magnet is a little scary at how strong it is. I wouldn't want to stick my finger between the front and back, so I'd be happy with a thinner, less strong back. For the

Pretty cool idea and looks great. The magnet is strong enough to hold everything together and will only slip if it gets stuck. It will not damage a good tie like buttons. I would like more, heavier, but no complaints about that. I will be buying more of these soon. I'm surprised they haven't been around for a long time.

This tie clasp is very pretty and does the job well. I almost lost it the first day because I wasn't used to it, but once I got used to the feeling it didn't happen anymore. 10/10 would buy again.

This tie magnet is the most impressive tie clip I have ever bought. The magnet is so strong that I had a hard time pulling them apart at first, but it came in handy when I put on a tie and then add a clip. Works well and I'm glad I don't have to pierce my ties or lose another tie chain because it dropped or wear a clip that doesn't work! It works out.

Okay I bought two of these because I needed to wear a nice thin silk scarf to keep both ends in place as they hung evenly left and right down the front of my blouse (not crossed or knotted ). I received the magnetic "pin" hex tie quickly after ordering. I am very impressed with the strength of neodymium magnets, despite some reviews complaining about it. You absolutely need strong magnetic force to hold the tie in place, as well as to prevent the contact from breaking and losing the "pin". I gave this as a gift and was surprised that it was smaller than I thought. It's barely the size of a coin. Also, the magnet is insanely strong - a rare earth magnet overkill for its intended use as it's almost impossible to separate the 2 pieces to attach to a tie. Very disappointed.
