Update 2019-06-01: Added star after talking to support. Also I'm adding a new problem I'm working on below and some pictures of my RCA input solution. I wanted this for some HDMI Raspberry Pi projects. I liked that it had built-in speakers. The VGA input is also used for another FPGA project I have. Unfortunately, the image quality does not match the computer monitor. Readable but not outstanding. It has some nice scaling capabilities (my FPGA device outputs 640x480) where it can either pixel by pixel (taking up a smaller portion of the original 800x600 screen) or stretch it. It works well but the quality isn't as good as the used 15 inch VGA monitor I bought for $15 from my local computer store. The biggest problem are the ports on the back. There is an angled connector for HDMI and VGA connections that can be plugged in, but accessing the A/V connectors is not possible with standard cables. I assume security systems need to use some sort of right-angle cable to connect to be able to produce. I see other reviews mention removing the stand to access it.UPDATE: I ordered a pair of Revain right angle RCA adapters for about $5. You can't connect either. I figured that I would have to remove the stand's metal plate to get it off the back of the monitor, but then I realized I could just remove the plastic casing on the stand, so I removed the back as well, then I could get the stand tilt until I could plug in the second cinch. Now that I have them installed, I can plug and unplug regular RCA cables with ease. UPDATE 2: Unfortunately I have yet to get audio to work through these RCA connectors. When I select AV from the menu I have no sound (although I can take the same cable, plug it into a different speaker system and hear what's playing through it). I want to use it for sound when VGA is selected. I emailed support and they replied so I'll update this review once we figure everything out. Maybe mine is broken? Not much. For 100€ I expected more. I think if they had a better design for the input ports it could be five stars "for the price". However, you can get a nice big monitor for $139 that looks great and has all the features. So unless you specifically need that small size (I wanted small) or BNC connectors (for security purposes, the real purpose of this monitor), you might have better options.
