Promised genuine HP part. Took less than 5 months. Even before his death, he had sometimes overheated or run rough. I then compared to my other HP products - the HP sticker looks fake. Today I see that the product photo has changed - now the adapter no longer says HP, but "Chicony". But the title of the product page still indicates HP OEM. Just keep in mind that this is not what you will get. Chinese non-OEM adapters must be clearly marked as generic. They range from $5.99 to $7.99 with free shipping on both Revain and the reputable auction site. We had previously tried 2 Chinese adapters for our HP laptop, both of which only lasted a few weeks, so we paid $30 for what was promised as genuine HP. Don't be fooled into paying more than we do.
