I find the shaving bowl to be a nice accessory. I especially like the fact that the bottom bowl (which holds the soap) has a hole wide enough for you to load the shaving brush without banging it against the sides of the bowl. At first I was concerned that without the protrusions in the foam shell the foaming process would be slow. These fears were unfounded. The shell is not smooth like hard plastic, it has nice texture. If you lather your shaving soaps or creams, try using a shaving bowl.
