My main method of flash sync is to use wireless radio triggers, but any good photographer should always have a backup. I prefer this sync cable. The quality was really good, if you buy this kind of cable from a camera store they will charge you over $20-$30. This is without the screw lock option for those willing to pay the extra $5-10. DSLR's customer service was excellent, it took 7 days from ordering the product to receiving it. They ship from China and I'm in California so 7 days is great, shipping is free too. When I order from Adorama it usually takes 8-10 days and they charge shipping! I've tried the sync cord with all cameras, from field to DSLR, TLR, Polaroid folding pads and my mirrorless via Seagull SC2 adapter. The cable worked on all of them, I haven't had a chance to measure the length but it looks like 10-16 feet. Very pleased, and yes the cable works great with unthreaded connectors. There were no installation delays or disconnects. In terms of durability it depends on usage, it will just be my backup so I can see it will last me a lifetime. With regular use I would say it lasts a full year.
