When the power went out in Texas during the recent winter storm, 30+ people froze to death in their homes. I decided then and there to start prepping and lighting was a big issue. I ordered these lamps for my lighting prep box, but wound up loving them so much, I use them every day. I take them on walks with the dog, I use the lantern setting when I sit out and watch the sun go down in the garden.They're definitely going to come in handy on campouts and during weather emergencies or power outages (BECAUSE TEXAS SUCKS!
