Must have gotten one from a bad batch

This receiver never performed as designed and claimed to perform. I received this item in October 2019 and have only used it to listen to music from my LG phone. This purchase was made to replace a Vivitar Bluetooth receiver that was working well but had reduced the battery life to around 2 hours after owning it for 2 years. 7 o'clock). I actually checked it. Within a few weeks I fully charged the receiver. Then, whenever I used it, I wrote down the time I started using it and the time I stopped. I did this until the battery was completely dead, then added the total usage time for each charge. I did this several times over several weeks. The longest battery life I've had on a single charge was just over 3 hours. This was the first time I checked the battery life. Since then, battery life has decreased; to the point where it was only 2 hours in March 2020. Then something happened two days ago. The receiver just stopped working. I turned on the receiver and got ready for a run. However (and without the low battery warning) it shut down. I thought the battery was dead, which struck me as odd as I hadn't used it since the last full charge two days ago. I plugged in the receiver to charge, the red light came on and then I waited for it to go off - after about 3 hours. I connected the receiver to my headphones, then turned it on and connected it to my phone. It just didn't work. Just for the record, I didn't wet my pipe, I didn't touch it, I didn't look at it funny, I didn't fart at it, I didn't insult it. Er: I only used it for its intended purpose. However, this receiver no longer works after five months. If I could give this product negative stars, I would.
