Review on EasyMountLCD Articulating Heavy Duty Standing 002 0033 by Josh Akin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

GREAT when you're not moving. Limited vertical movement and not as flexible as the original frames.

I bought two of these used - damaged boxes. The units had peeling paint - unacceptable when buying new but expected as I bought them used. One that looked liked was a return. Looks like someone tried to mount the monitor with the wrong screws and then sent everything back. The missing hardware from the original package was in a separate package and was complete. The second looked like it had never been opened, but the outer box was damaged. The kit includes two different mounting options, one for all screws in the same plane - when all 4 screws are flat on the same surface. . Another option for people with curved backs, with plastic pads. TV wall mounts are available with the same options. Apparently a set was returned - someone tried using curved screws on the flat back and found the screws were too long - or had a monitor that wasn't compatible with that set. The manual appearance differs slightly from the connected devices. In the manual they are shown with a flat head, but it turned out that they do not have a flat head. It took me a few minutes to figure it out while thinking I was going to miss the hardware. The first set took about half an hour to assemble along with the instructions. The second was much easier, I didn't have to look at the instructions and just assemble it. I mounted one with the supplied clamp through the cable hole in the table and the other with the stand. Both work great. It's very difficult to move items vertically after installation, so make sure you have your monitors at the required height. After installation, the height of all three monitors will be slightly different, there are screws on the back of each monitor to easily adjust each monitor vertically. But it shouldn't be easy, it's something you do during installation and then leave it alone. Some of the testers complained that it was impossible to align their monitors, instructions are towards the end of the manual, it's not fun but it works - and rotating the monitors again is mind blowing. Rotating monitors is not as easy as monitors on the original stands. Of course, the original stands could be moved freely, making it easier to actually position and rotate the monitors. But I bought this kit because it looks cleaner, sleeker and less clutter - and this kit does the job very well. If you turn your monitors around a lot, this probably isn't the best solution. If you want to keep your monitors in the same position and free up desk space, this kit is perfect for that. I've attached some screenshots. One setup uses a stand on a white shelf, the other uses a clip-on mount through a cable hole on a wooden table. I hope the static images do not infringe copyright. I'm not a crazy gamer, but I've also attached two screenshots from Quake Champions. Definitely worth buying, it's stable, but be careful with the stand as the monitors are balanced on it sideways. When tuning, he sometimes started to lean to the side, which I noticed in good time. The monitors in the setup are 24 inches and have an aspect ratio of 16:10. Most modern monitors have an aspect ratio of 16:9 and when used in a similar environment the width is 1 inch or about 3 inches total and subtracts about 1 inch from the height.
