Review on 🧥 Marmot Women's Essential Lightweight Waterproof Technology Apparel: Coats, Jackets & Vests by Mark Hayes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the length, but the most notable thing is the incredible lightness.

I love this jacket! I bought it after much research as it was one of the few good quality jackets with a good length. This is very important when hiking or doing other activities as you don't have to worry about exposing your lower back by bending over etc. This is especially important, especially for a man my size (5ft 11in). Colour? Fabulous. I got blue. It is very different in different lighting conditions, from deep dark blues in the dark to stunning blues and deep royal blues. The size? I usually wear 14-16 AU or 10-12US. I tried the large one at the store and while it fit, it didn't have much room for layering. That's why I ordered XL. Ideal. Lots of space which I prefer. There is a lot of freedom of movement, especially in the sleeves, even in the thinner large ones. This is important to me because I often notice that a piece of clothing that is too small ends up in my hands. Quality? I have worn Gorex jackets before so I know the quality. This jacket is no exception. Drops of water simply roll off, even in the heaviest downpours. The absolute best thing about the jacket is it's incredibly light and compact. I seriously didn't believe it when it arrived. It weighs nothing. My parents want to update their hiking jackets and make them just as light. It's good. The only thing I don't like? No inside pockets. So far this hasn't been a big problem but I've used them a lot in my previous jacket. Let's see. Oh, and I'm from Australia, which Revain doesn't ship to. UGG sucks. I had to use a middleman to get the jacket shipped to me which cost me an additional $80. In general? Buy it. This is a worthwhile investment.
