Appreciated the toaster. There was a burnt plastic odor when I first switched it on, but I was assured that this was usual. After three idle rounds at maximum power, the odor was gone. That everything is controlled by buttons and not some fancy sensors is a big bonus in my book. The toasting is uniform. According to the data, setting "4" is best for regular bread while setting "3" is best for toast. But this is all relative; some people prefer their bread fried till it's black, thus there are "5-7" settings for those people. There's a defrost setting, but I doubt I'll ever need it because nobody ever puts bread in the freezer. The metal housing gets warm to the touch during use, but not hot enough to cause harm. Yasha. Naturally, the market freaked out the next day following payment and the order was canceled. The item was listed as unavailable, but after I cancelled my order and placed a new one, it magically materialized. Excellent value for the money, especially with the Yasha coupon and Tinkoff cashback of 10%.
