I ordered this because a lot of water/moisture had accumulated under the silicone strap and was scratching my wrist. (I don't know why, I had no problems with my original Vivofit. But the Vivofit 4 strap and I were not compatible at all.) Since its introduction, I've been wearing this new strap almost every time. There are no obvious signs of wear on it. Wearing it in the shower and washing hands during the pandemic didn't pose any problems. The itching/irritation of the other strap has healed and gone. The fabric strap dries very quickly and the rigidity of the metal case allows a little air between my wrist and the back of the strap. It didn't take long to transfer my Vivofit to this new band. Don't worry about how well the device fits into the group. He looks good and feels safe. It looks very nice and also doesn't feel as fancy or weird as other types of straps. I wouldn't say there are any major flaws, but when I ordered it the only size option was Large. I have a medium sized woman's wrist and wear it on the second largest bangle hole. It even fits me in the smallest hole, but I like it when it's a bit loose. I tend to fidget and sometimes find myself tugging on a metal latch that loosens the Vivofit's grip. It can't fall out when I press it against my wrist, but it can move in the strap or fall out when I undo the buckle.
