Bought for my youngest son. I recommend increasing a size by 1 if your child is just starting a new size or is stuck at their current size, but I would increase by 2 if your child is almost a different normal size. My son loves these pajamas because they glow in the dark. My only real complaint is that the design extends beyond the seams of the pants and I always worry that this will cause discomfort on his tummy, but so far that hasn't been the case. Now my son wears clothes for 12-18 months and I ordered him pajamas for 18-24 months.
