Product description is misleading. They do NOT have a rubber outsole which is grippy and provides traction. It has a perfectly smooth molded plastic sole, which makes the shoe very slippery and not suitable for walking. I still keep my pair from when I had my autistic son because I'm very picky about shoes that don't have straps or laces and are easy to put on and take off (like these), but I wanted tennis pants. I tried the do-it-yourself approach and painted the underside with fabric paint which is meant to be tacky once dry and give a little more support. I know that there are also adhesive sprays that you can spray on shoes to give slippery soles more grip. And finally, there is always sandpaper. They say you get what you pay for. But I found American brand children's shoes on sale for the same price but with much better materials and quality. But what annoys me is that the Revain listing says it has a rubber bottom when it doesn't.
