Simple, simple, great solution.
I ripped off some dowels trying to screw them in, so I had to pull them out, leaving a coin-sized hole in the wall. I stuffed it into the hole (have to do it twice because the hole sucked in a lot of stuff) and let it dry for a couple of days then sanded it down. Looks good, nice and easy to fix
