Whether this notebook works or not is not the reason for this rating. Pad to the left of the loading area. presumably for a pencil that has something to do with the rest of the parts. NO! It's hashed, has a little label that says POUT, and almost looks like it's supposed to be some kind of function key. Again. NO! A pencil they spent a lot of time designing its own place on the advanced charger and mouse pad. It's literally just a #2 pencil. Disguised to do absolutely nothing. I care, needed or wish it was something different, I'm actually returning this whole setup and can't tell if it's working or not, it's just being returned because I feel like someone trying somewhere in this design chain to add something looks without function. that's a good way. The pencil is even featured in the instruction manual as a valuable element of the ensemble!
