Review on ๐Ÿฒ Cuisinart 2.0 Elite Collection FP-12DCN 12-Cup Food Processor in Silver Die Cast by Ricky Mills

It breaks easily, the manufacturer gives no guarantee.

This is only my second stand mixer since I left home in the early 1990's. I had a late 90's cuisinart processor, the cheapest at 7 cups. This lasted until 2015 when I bought this one as a replacement as the blade started falling apart on the old one (turns out it was a recall and if I had waited a few months I could have fixed it for free) . So I figured I'd buy a good one since I've apparently had them for almost 20 years. This one is good when it works, but the bowl is very cheap, flimsy plastic. The top is held in place by a very small plastic tab. After a few years these protrusions broke in two and now the bowl and lid will not close, they must be held in place for the machine to work. I looked at the replacement, it says 3 year warranty and was told 'parts' are not covered by the warranty. What does that mean? Motor guarantee 10 years, why 3 years? A new bowl and lid cost more than half of a new machine. Forget quizinart, I'm done. My next food processor will be one backed by a manufacturer. You lost a customer for life.
