EDIT: Carey Brown makes a good point. I most likely have a defective cable. I should have returned it, not thrown it away and most likely not received a defective cable a second time. The more positive reviews for this product are definitely reassuring. it said. I won't buy another one. The cable I received was disgusting, phenomenally bad in fact. Upgraded to 2 stars because I don't like the company they keep at 1. First rating for posterity: I know what you're thinking. $7 for a 1 foot extension? Sounds a bit expensive. Well, at least it's Prime-right! The makers of this premium, affordable audio gear have truly outdone themselves. It's only a foot long, but it can make your sound sound like it's coming out of a metal bucket at the bottom of a giant hole in the ground. I'm not sure how they managed to fit so much signal attenuation and distortion into such a small space, but I'm impressed. I got a better signal through the paperclip o_O I'm not a hypersensitive audiophile, I just wanted to lengthen the headphones a bit to make the desktop setup more comfortable. But this extension cord is really just terrible and a waste of $7.
