Review on Bonavita Electric Featuring Gooseneck BV3825B by Denise Woodcock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

3 year strong - the smallest kettle that can

We bought this over 3 years ago (late December 2015) for the sole purpose of making coffee every day. Gooseneck Matters (formerly used a regular teapot). As another reviewer mentioned, simply waiting 30 seconds after simmering will result in the ideal flowering/blooming temperature. It's important to pay attention to the "max fill line" as overfilling will result in a lot of water leaking onto the hotplate (which I think is the main issue others complain about). We haven't had any rusting or corrosion issues, but we've done our best (due to other reviewer's complaints) to ensure the kettle 'dries out' completely by laying the lid on its side after daily use. (See image.) We never fully cleaned the kettle, so some hard water collects inside. But with daily use (mostly with filtered water) it doesn't really matter and we are very satisfied. . By simply filling the kettle to the fill line, draining excess water and drying the lid on the side after each use, you'll have no hassles and be assured of a long kettle life.
