Non-NPT sanitary and sanitary threads
This looks like NPS threads, not NPT. When I contacted the seller about the leak, they advised me to use the rubber washer/gasket that came with it. This is not required when connecting NPT to NPT with Teflon tape. None of my other NPT-NPT connections are leaking - just this one. I will be returning this item as it will not work without a shim which will restrict flow beyond what I would like. This would have been a one star rating, but I'm adding one star because the seller responded to my initial query fairly quickly and politely.
