Hi folks, I had one of these TV and radio combo products and was very happy with it. The siren is loud enough to wake a person from a deep sleep in an emergency, it had a UHF/TV/weather band etc. I've had mine for about 5 years with no problems but sold it at a flea market earlier this year. for the reason I will state below. Carefully! With the transition to full digital television in February 2009, these portable televisions will no longer receive broadcasts without a converter. These boxes aren't overly expensive, but they're huge, bulky, and don't run on batteries, which defeats the point of owning the item. I was quite happy with that. However, there is currently no combination of digital TV and weather radio that I know of on the market. Maybe Vector will make it eventually, I know I'll definitely buy it if it does! A downside to the Vector Radio/TV is the large and heavy transformer plug, which makes a lot of noise when it falls out of the socket onto the floor, but that's not a deal breaker for the product, especially since it still works. on batteries (I think mine took nine "C" alkaline batteries). I would have given those five stars if the TV hadn't lacked functionality in May 2009.
