Review on Scorpion Covert Helmet Small Matte by Loren Jacobson

I originally bought the HJC IS-5 because I wanted a simple, lightweight 3/4 helmet and wanted the HJC retro -design loved . But the helmet wasn't very comfortable, so I decided to switch to Scorpio. I like the more open feel of a 3/4 helmet when cruising around town and this helmet is very comfortable in 3/4 mode. The lining is soft yet supportive and the vents are very nice for cooling. When I want to hit the highway it's great to be able to turn it into a full face helmet. The manual warns that the lower mount is "not designed to protect the chin," but I feel much safer in a full-face helmet. The inner visor has excellent transparency, is not too dark and protects the eyes well from the wind. They include a clear visor for those who wish to carry their own sunglasses. This helmet was more than twice the size of the HJC but is very comfortable and it's like having two helmets. Did I mention that you can also make a 1/2 helmet out of this? Not my plan, but it's a nice feature.
