I wanted to replace the ghetto blasters I had on my office desk. It had a radio, a tape recorder and a CD player. Who needs it these days is claiming valuable desktop real estate. I spent hours looking for something that would satisfy my needs. I have a CD player on my computer and I can stream pretty much anything on both my computer and phone. I would throw away the old tape recorder. I chose this one from practically all the reviews and I'm so glad I did. When it got home my husband pulled it out and turned it on. Yes, it's a PAIN to get started, you must read the instructions. The buttons have multiple functions when you press them once or hold them down. You will get used to it. I mostly listen to classical music in the office, and when they found the MPR, even my husband was surprised. Small Orchestra Hall. The sound is really very good. We're fans of Harman Kardon's Bluetooth speakers and have to admit they sound comparable. I can listen to the radio, stream or use the card slot on the back. There is a clock and an alarm clock. I'm thrilled with my new little speaker!
