How does that sound? ESP for DIGITAL installations

How you set up your system has a big impact on the bottom line. Here's a little-known tip for serious listeners: make sure you use separate strips for your source/DAC (which I'm assuming you're using a linear power supply since you're a serious user) from all your other components who switch power supplies . . Ideally, you shouldn't have components with switching power supplies, which is difficult these days. If all components have a linear power supply, you can place them all on the same strip. Notice the difference. Even using a cheap linear power supply ($80-$100) improves the sound significantly. The reason for this is that there is cross-contamination between components, not just from food outside of your room/house. If you use a switching power supply, it will infect anything connected to that strip. In my personal setup I connected a power conditioner for isolation from the outside system and a couple of Furman strips. Each bar has either a switching power supply or a linear one. The difference should be noticeable once you are familiar with the sound of your setup. I wrote a review about it a few months ago when I first bought it. I wrote a rave review and then I thought I had overdone the review so I decided to remove it and revisit it at least 6 months later. 2 years later and also after testing several different AC/plugs/sockets and I have to say it's pretty good. I've tried their pricier offerings as well as other audiophile brands and it greatly improves the sound and seems to do the least damage. Many of these other devices seem to be doing too much, resulting in an over-filtered dead sound. This gives you a thinner sound with finer details. Extension from both above and below without harsh and harsh sound. The sound is more musical and cohesive because musical information is less clipped. This device seems sufficient for getting rid of the evil, but not overdoing it to the point that it starts killing the audio. You can hear that signature killer sound in all over-designed products. It doesn't, and that's probably why it works. I hooked it up to an expensive air conditioner/regenerator. Connecting that directly to the wall isn't so good, so the regenerator does what it doesn't and vice versa. The conclusion is that this is not a subtractive experience. You won't hear anything or feel like you're missing out if your setup isn't up to par. It simply eliminates the haze and harshness you often hear in digital setups without doing too much damage.
