My 6 year old daughter loves it. Lots of other reviews said it was waxy and yes it is, but what do you expect? In fact, this is colored wax. Her hair is blonde and it's easy to see in her hair. I don't know how it will look on dark hair. It washes out easily with shampoo, although my son's hair was a bit more difficult (because I think it's short and I probably just dyed his scalp). Tip: I took a section of her hair and put cardboard underneath. and then they dyed it (it seems like hair highlights are done in a hairdresser), and that made the task much easier.
