Does NOT stick to porcelain

My husband ordered this after reading a lot of positive reviews. My photo tells a story, it does NOT stick! This product was a complete let down and I will never buy it again. It was applied to a clean and dry surface free of debris. My husband even used the blow dryer on the warm setting as it wasn't sticky at first. It's the perfect size for what we wanted and the color is nice, but we're very disappointed that it doesn't stick to the surface.

Pros
  • Sealant
Cons
  • Only available in white

Was skeptical based on the reviews but this is a fantastic product.

A little worried about this stuff based on the reviews but it's great. Enough to finish the bath and around the toilet. Blow dry as you go - do about 8 inches, reheat and repeat. Stretch the strip as you go, stretching it slightly so it conforms to the curve of the toilet and holds its shape as it cools and doesn't try to loosen.

Pros
  • Adhesives, Sealants & Lubricants
Cons
  • Very Expensive

A little concerned about this material based on the reviews but it is excellent. Enough finishing in the bath and around the toilet. I can tell you the secret of the toilet on heating with a hair. dry as you go - make about 8 inches, reheat and repeat the process. Stretch the strip as you go, stretching it slightly - this will help it conform to the curve of the toilet and as it cools it will hold its shape and not try to loosen.

Used for my toilet and dressing table.

I have used it around my toilet and vanity. I heated the strip with a hair dryer and it worked very well around the corners. I had a big gap under the toilet and it wasn't even so this was a great alternative to sticky caulk. Advice only. If you heat the tape, make sure you leave the backing sheet on the sticky side until you use it, or you'll end up with a sticky white goo of it stuck to the floor or whatever you wrap it. I would definitely buy it again, but if you're doing this around curves…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Works well and looks good once you get the hang of it.

I used this on a poorly installed toilet pedestal for aesthetic reasons, so I can't say if the product is waterproof. The floor surface was uneven due to poor installation and I didn't want to just use a ton of joint compound to cover it up. The tape went over any bumps and made the surface smooth and clean. All in all, the tape worked great. The only criticism is the poor instructions. As mentioned in other reviews, if you go into corners you need to use a hair dryer to make it more flexible…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
