I'm a dog trainer and I still am I have yet to meet a dog that didn't do somersaults to use this food as a training treat. This food is too expensive to give to large dogs for regular meals unless you are a millionaire. (If I had a Yorkie, I would feed him regularly.) But my dogs are 75 and 80 pounds and eat 3-4 cups a day. So the price rules this out for regular meals in my budget. In fact, as a workout treat it's pricey, but it's doable and it's nice to think that the special treats they get during their workout are also extra good for them. I recommend to all my students. Some balk at the price but many use this food as a training treat and I keep getting feedback that all dogs go crazy for this product. I even smell nice when I open a new package. This is good stuff. And the reassuring fact is that it's human-grade food, pasture-grown without chemicals, antibiotics or growth hormones and by humanely raised animals. (Criteria I have for my own food) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Stella & Chewy doesn't get sold off to one of the corporate giants anytime soon like all the other really good dog food companies do.
