Let me start by loving these hay feeders. I know my pigs would love to play in the hay, but it's unsanitary for them to eat what they've soiled. For all the reviews that mention making a mess: hey, get out of the cage no matter what you do. small animals can be so dirty. For those who say it doesn't hold up or might be dangerous, you need to make sure you put it on properly and lift it up so they can't get inside. In any case, you should raise it a little higher, because that's a good exercise. so that they can get it. All six of my pigs love playing little games to get hay from them.
