The product comes with two mask straps. I attached them so that one went over the back and the other over the head to avoid pulling the double masks over the ears - where they wouldn't stay otherwise anyway. Once set up, you don't have to do it again until it's time to switch masks. Just move it over your head and it will be in place and stay in place. The hooks easily attach to the mask's elastic ear loops.
