I read reviews about how hard/firm the pillow is before I bought it. Look, if you're looking for a neck pillow on Amazon, you need something with support. I bought a cheap pillow and it was fine for a while, but gradually I realized that it didn't really help and was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. This pillow is AMAZING. I can sleep comfortably on my side (I'm short too - 5'1!). The first night I used it, I slept through the night for I don't know how long and woke up with no neck pain. It's worth every penny. Is this the most comfortable soft pillow ever? nope But when your neck hurts, you don't need softness, you need support.
