Review on Fjallraven Raven Backpack: The Ultimate Laptop Companion by John Rivera

Great basic laptop/laptop backpack for a no frills petite woman

Probably the best basic laptop/urban backpack I've ever had. I've used it daily on the train for my 1+ commute for the 8 months since I bought it. Pros: *Fit: I'm a fairly small woman with a small body, so I liked that the straps didn't feel huge or heavy. The size of the backpack is just right and not too big. * Material: Liked the zippers. No problem getting stuck on anything. Most compartments have two zippers. Dig lots of G-1000 fabric too. I had no faults with the pen as mentioned in other reviews. It's really comfortable to hold! *Pockets: Plenty of pockets for pens, small wallets, cards of all kinds, tissue paper, hand sanitizer, etc. I also like the mesh pocket in the first front compartment. I would not recommend putting too many things in this mesh bag as it will settle a bit when opened. * Main compartment: You can pack a lot in there! If you don't have a lot of stuff, it compresses well too. The laptop bag has padding that doesn't put much pressure on your back. Fits my 13" Macbook Pro well. * Back Support: The back has a small cardboard support. While not the best, it beats most cheaper ones on the market. There are some mesh pads on the straps. Very easy to care for and I've tossed it in the wash several times. It dries pretty quickly too. One time a swarm of ants crawled onto my backpack and I quickly rinsed and they were all gone. The wrapper dried indoors in the sun in a few hours *Decoration: Me love the blank minimal front. This is great if you like pins or patches. You can really get creative with the front of the pack.*Curtain Pocket: I live in an area with lots of sun so the sunglass pocket at the top is very useful.Softer Fabric inside White down and hair may be visible against darker colors * Water bottle pockets: There are two that I really like but they are not expandable In general i It's not a big problem, but if your backpack is pretty full, you can't put anything in those side pockets. * No ventilation: If you sweat I would avoid this backpack as the material is quite thick. I took this backpack on a hike and came back wet. * Weight: It can get heavy if you fill it to the brim. The fabric is not the lightest. As you can see I love this backpack! I have no major issues and would highly recommend it to any other small city commuter.
