Dealer replacement costs $60-$80. I decided to test how much I can do and how difficult it is. Well, it's not super easy. Small but awkward upside down under the handlebars (and I'm a short guy) then it's not that easy as I put the filter in the slot to make sure the filter is in place properly. The one I installed 6 months ago turned out to be incorrectly installed. It was folded into "accordion" because I wasn't sure it was installed properly. Maybe it was a fit, maybe it was user error. Whatever it was, I made sure the new one was seated properly. It's not easy to install, but it's worth it. In addition, you do not get your hands dirty when changing the filter. It's a cabin filter.
