I don't understand. I now have four of these filters. One worked fine for the first pour then the second clogged, bought a spare and it clogged right away. I called the manufacturer and they sent me two replacements. I decided to use two brand new filters, being careful not to water hammer and forcing air through them by opening the water valve very slowly. I get a good flow of initial black water and within 10-20 seconds both new filters are clogged as well. My line pressure is 65psi as measured by a pressure gauge and the gauges say the limit is 100psi. I have no idea why mine keeps getting clogged. EDIT: I was able to unscrew the fittings and reverse the flow through the filter. This immediately cleared a clogged filter and got it working again! I don't know if this affects performance, but I think the black carbon kind of clogged them up when they were first pressurized.
