After first use, this deodorant caused severe skin irritation, itching and burning under the armpits. Not giving up easily, I tried a few more times (hey, it was $24!) with the same painful results. Even after showering and thoroughly washing the skin under the armpits, the deodorant left sticky marks, and the itching and burning persisted. After carefully studying the composition that I had to make before buying this product, I found the reason. Why does this deodorant cause skin irritation? It contains a whole host of synthetic (not very useful) flavors, alcohols, and most notably phenoxyethanol, a controversial and harmful preservative. "A light blend of exotic perfumes and natural essences" is NOT this deodorant. More like a deadly combination of synthetic, irritating chemicals, alcohols, and preservatives designed to cause pain and suffering.
