Sturdy piece of steel. He holds my posture well. It took me a serious effort with 2x4 to bend my arms where I wanted them (in my case I bent them inwards a bit - they arched a bit). This is a really good and solid solution for attaching the top of a rack to a bike frame that doesn't have rack eyelets. I placed it on the seat tube on the frame (not the seat post) and routed the upper stay arms between the seatstays on the old vintage steel frame. The clamp was barely small enough to tighten on a small vintage seat tube and has enough clearance to use on large seat tubes.
