Although these buttons are easy to make, they don't hold up to repeated wear. I bought these for my class to use as name tags the first week of school. I repaired and replaced more than half of the 37 pens I originally made. I noticed in a previous post that the pins move a lot so I glued them into the button on the back. This allowed the needle to remain level and easily attached to clothing. However, the sharp end of the pin fell out of the other half after pinning and unpinning the pin several times. I was able to replace the pointy part and plug the gap with pliers, but it kept happening, leading to frustration and wasted time. I have previously bought a similar (more expensive) adjustable pin from Michaels and they have held up much better over repeat sessions. Purpose of use. I recommend for single use, but not otherwise.
