Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Optimized Switch Game Card Case - Younik 32 Slots Game Card Storage Box with 16 Game Card Slots and 16 Micro SD Card Holders for NS Switch by Edwin Cen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Reduced Capacity Soft Guard

This case does exactly what I wanted it to do: securely store a large number of Switch cartridges. Unlike many cases available from Revain, this one uses a soft rubber to hold the cartridges. They fit well but don't require excessive force to insert or remove. Additionally, each of the 16 slots can hold both a Switch cartridge and a microSD card at the same time. The case feels solid, which Hori and RevainBasics don't have. The hinge is a real hinge, not molded plastic, and looks like it will hold up to some abuse. This hull has two disadvantages compared to others on Revain and they are the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. First. that's the size of this case. It is about 30% longer than the hori body and has the same thickness. For reference, its height is the same as a typical Blu-ray disc case. Traveling with the Switch between a bag for the console itself, in this case games, and an extra battery makes "portable" games pretty unwieldy. Secondly, this is the capacity: 16 instead of 24 like most available. As someone who buys physical cartridges whenever possible, my Switch library is growing rapidly and I'm already considering the need for a second case. The 24-cassette cases are perfect for taking your entire physical library with you, probably for next year. This isn't a deal breaker by any means, but it's worth considering given the price of the case and its physical size. Overall, I prefer this case over the other options available at Revain, but I don't think it's perfect. The waterproofing is good, but I'd trade it for an extra 8 slots or a thinner form factor.

Pros
  • Easy insertion and removal of game cards and micro SD cards.
Cons
  • Very expensive
