You can easily refill the toner, but you need a long screwdriver to remove it, which is not easy. Genuine HP toner cartridges seem to have an adjustable lever that makes them easy to pop out. I assume they did this to make copying more difficult. I'm worried about when to replace the toner. If you are interested and want to save money and have enough time to work on cartridge removal, this will probably work.
