Great helper for a flawless car wash

I live in a hard water city and washing my car is a chore along with the TX heat. Over 100 degrees weather and hard water are not comfortable with a black car. When I was trying to find a way to reduce hard water and minerals, I saw several car wash filtration systems that cost over $130. Of course, that was way out of my price range. I came across these built in filters. While not water softeners, they help remove many minerals from the water and have made it a lot easier for me to wash my car in direct sunlight. Yes, you still have to wash/dry one panel at a time, but I can quickly clean up any stains that do appear (I did this as an extra step to avoid water stains). I attached it to my garden hose by connecting the short hose I had to an in-line filter and then connecting the longer hose to the other end of the filter. This prevented me from knocking the filter over in my driveway which could damage it and also stress my faucet. I haven't drunk filtered water, so I can't attest to its ability to change taste. I am very happy with my purchase. I received 4 packs and will be attaching 2 to my washing machine's cold and hot lines to see if this affects my wash. To avoid stressing your washing machine connections, buy some new hoses for your machine. Just disconnect the old ones from the back of your washing machine, connect them to the filter and connect the new ones to the filter and then to the back of your washing machine. bam! Filter system for your washing machine. If you're looking for a cheap alternative to HELP (instead of removing water stains) while washing your car, try this before you buy one of those expensive filter units.

Pros
  • Connects to a standard water hose or faucet to filter the water flowing through it
Cons
  • Out of fashion
