My son uses them for parkour and they are great! Tight fit, ultra light, strong, durable body. However, as a martial arts teacher, I don't understand how they can be called "martial arts shoes". It's the hidden laces that define martial arts shoes, and those laces are exposed. So kicking the pocket (or sparring partner) affects both the knot and the target. Of course for everything that has to do with non-contact kicks in martial arts - hand techniques, kata, kicks on the ground - these shoes are perfect.
