Review on 💧 WGB32BM Sediment Manganese Filtration System by iSpring by Judy Thomas

Our well water had a high content of iron and manganese: 0.74 mg/l iron and 0.92 mg/l manganese. Our water had a metallic taste and our toilet, sink and shower had yellow stains; There were black stains in our toilet cistern. We purchased this iSpring water filtration system specifically designed to reduce iron and manganese (Filter FM25B). Installation was very easy. My husband is a former general contractor from California and installed this system after watching a YouTube video of the installation. He found the video very helpful and the installation easy; and we love how compact the system fits easily into our engineering room. We were disappointed that our system didn't have the buttons to prime each cartridge as shown in the installation video. We tested our water in a certified water laboratory after filters were installed: the iron was recovered to Not Detected (ND), but the manganese was not recovered at all. We contacted Nick from iSpring Customer Support and he responded very quickly and immediately sent us another FM25B filter to test. Again, the water test results showed that the iron was reduced to ND, but the manganese was not reduced at all. After hearing these results, Nick sent us a more expensive FCRC25B filter for lead and other heavy metal removal to try out. This filter has been proven to reduce the iron and manganese in our water to ND! Surprisingly, this filter also reduced our hardness from 197 mg/l as CaCO3 to ND. We are now delighted with the taste of our water and Nick has even offered us a discount on future orders of a more expensive filter. iSpring partnered with us and endorsed their product! I would give this product 4 stars as the original FM25B filter did not reduce both iron and manganese as advertised, but Nick at iSpring Customer Service deserves 5 stars for his professional handling of our issue and cooperation with us. PS We have iron and manganese stains removed from our plumbing and there have been no stains in the last few months!
