I replaced the plastic grinder that came with the pepper with this one. It grinds peppers evenly in about 20% of the time it took me to get ultra fine peppers. The only downside I can see after about 6 weeks is that the grind can only be adjusted via the knurled screw on the top and turning it causes no resistance. So I just leave it screwed up. There should be a spring underneath to hold it in place so you can adjust the grind level without turning the thumbscrew just because you're using a grinder. But screwed on properly, the degree of grinding is fine (at least for the time being).
