Review on 🌊 Proteus L5: Wi-Fi Water Level/Sump Monitor with Buzzer & Alerts by Ryan Larson

Solved the main issue - identify a problem with the fountain before I run out of water

This product is simple. It has a small float that registers whether it is in the up or down position and sounds an alarm depending on your choice. I use it to determine if my well-fed 5K water tank has dropped below a certain level. Essentially I hang the sensor from the lid of the tank with a copper wire with a small weight to keep it about a foot below the normal waterline. The sensor connects to my Wi-Fi and if it goes down, it immediately texts or emails me letting me know of the problem. I can also control it remotely via their server. I will add that it also has an audible alarm. I power it with an inexpensive car battery charged by a solar panel with a controller that has a powered USB port that I can plug into the part of the sensor that doesn't sit. in the tank. Works perfect. It alerted me to a problem with my well long before I ran out of water. This gave me enough time to fix the problem (fortunately a small one this time) well before I ran out of water completely. Here are the items I bought from Revain: Renogy Controller https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NPDWZJ7 /ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Renogy 50W Solar Panel https://www.amazon. com/ gp/product/B00DVPPFDS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Renogy cable to connect the panel to the controller https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DGXGKWA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc =1 USB extension (mostly unnecessary but I wanted the device and controller to be separate) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076Z83QTT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have that Battery purchased at my local Walmart store for about $25. I think I could have chosen a less powerful panel, but I wanted to improve my chances of keeping the battery charged in cloudy weather. a week or two. The panel will still generate power even on cloudy days, but this is only a fraction of what it will generate on sunny days. Accordingly, I would prefer 10% of a 50 watt panel to 10% of a 10, 20 or 30 watt panel. When I called Proteus I was always able to get hold of someone on the first call and they (the same person I think) were always helpful. I am very happy with this sensor. The other options are mostly mechanical and expensive, requiring me to physically inspect the sensor. It's not so convenient to just get an SMS or an email.
